Splashdown is a 3-hour swim event held annually by the NUS University Lifeguard Corps. Participants swim as many laps as they can in exchange for goodies and prizes.
There will be a lifesaving demonstration before the actual event to promote lifesaving as a sport and the importance of water safety. Lifesaving equipment (ropes, board, rescue tube, manikin) will be put up at the wading pool for other people who are taking a break to try out.

OPEN: Swim as many laps as you can in 3 hours and exchange them for lap gifts! Top prizes up for grabs too!
Swimathon: Complete a 100 laps (5km) within 3 hours and get an additional exclusive finishers’ tee! You are still eligible for lap gifts and top prizes

ALL category comes with a goodie bag and ARENA event tee*. An exclusive ARENA Finisher Tee will be presented to participants under SWIMATHON category upon completion of 100 laps.
Programme for Splashdown 2009
- 1000 to 1100: Registration
- 1100 to 1400: Mass Swim
- 1400 to 1445: Collation of results and Lifesaving demonstration
- 1430: Welcoming of guest of honour
- 1445 to 1500: Prize Presentation

In case of bad weather, it will be at the discretion of the commitee to cancel the event. In the event of cancellation, there will be a lucky draw for the top prizes.
